Here is this weeks Gradebook Update. There are a couple of things that you should all check out!!
Add Assignments: Since the upgrade that took place during the break, the place for adding assignments has changed, thus causing some confusion as to how to Add Assignments. You can add assignments 2 ways.
o 1. From the Assignment page (Gradebook/Assignments) use the Alt -A as a shortcut key and it will take you to the page where you can add a new assignment.
o 2. From the Assignment page at the bottom there is now an “ADD” button at the bottom right. Click on the key and it will take you to the page where you can add a new assignment.
· Removing Dropped students: Some people do not want to see the Dropped Students on their list, so to remove them, go to: Settings (wrench) and Options. Then UNCHECK Display Dropped Students in Gradebook and SAVE. You may need to log out then back in again for the setting to take place.
· Include in Grade calculation: In one of the updates, teachers were given the option to set more defaults in the settings->options screen. The box for “Include in Grade Calculation” was defaulting to unchecked. I have updated preferences for all teachers to include new assignments in the grade calculation by default. If you find any assignments that are not calculating in the student’s grade please make sure this box is checked.
